New conditions of the Competition

The Cité Internationale has just informed us that a prefectural order has been extended, and as a result the site will not be open for the Lyon International Competition tastings.
We had been optimistic before receiving this news, hoping that the tasting scenario and social distancing plans on which we had worked for months would allow us to hold the Competition under near-normal conditions. Unfortunately this will now be impossible.
As a result, registrations for tasting at the Lyon International Competition, initially scheduled for 26-27 March at the Cité Internationale in Lyon, have been cancelled.
Since the tasting cannot be held there, the competition will once again be organised in ‘lockdown’ format, as it was in 2020: tastings will take place over a period of several weeks in the tasting rooms at our site in Limas (69400), near Villefranche.
Since we are not authorised to receive the public, only professional tasters will participate.
Health measures:
Small groups of professionals will perform the tasting in our 3 tasting rooms.
Each taster will be seated alone at his or her own table.
We have implemented the most stringent precautions to guarantee hygienic conditions. Our quality manager, working together with the commissioner, will guarantee that:
1-Hygiene measures are strictly implemented during tasting.
2-Regulations governing wine and wine-growing competitions are respected.
3-Rules and Regulations of the Lyon International Competition are applied.
4-The competition treats all competitors equally.
5-The competition is organised according to the procedures defined in our ISO9001 certification.
Award-winners will be revealed at a soon-to-be announced date.
We truly and warmly thank you for your words of encouragement and your trust.
The entire team is at your disposal if you have any questions.
Stay safe.
Victor Gomez
Director of the Competition
