Hervé Baligand, Sommelier of the year 2018, preside over this 14th edition !

For nearly five years now, Hervé Baligand has been Head Sommelier at La Pyramide Patrick Henriroux, a restaurant with two Michelin stars located in the city of Vienne in the Isère departement.

But Hervé first gained experience in Monaco and London before putting down roots in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. When he returned to France, Hervé first worked with the teams at the Sofitel Lyon Bellecour establishment, then spent 7 years at the prestigious Paul Bocuse restaurant (3 Michelin stars) in Collognes-aux-Monts-d’Or. In 2018 Hervé Baligand moved to La Pyramide, and that same year won the ‘sommelier of the year’ title at Lyon’s gastronomy and wines competition.
