The Concours International de Lyon for Cheese and Dairy Products is happy to announce the award-winners for 2022!

The second edition of the Concours International de Lyon for Cheese and Dairy Products took place on December 3, 2021!

For this event, tasters gathered at the Cité internationale de Lyon under the supervision of an independent inspector.
Our Quality Manager was also present to make sure samples were tasted strictly in keeping with hygiene measures, competition rules and our ISO9001 certification.
The new competition continues to be a great success: 757 cheeses and 296 dairy products were judged by professional tasters and enlightened amateurs for this 2022 edition!
320 products were awarded medals, including 146 Gold medals.

Dairy products
In all, 90 dairy products were awarded Gold and Silver medals, and one dairy product received a trophy!
The special trophy, awarded to the best Dairy Product in the competition out of all the countries represented, was awarded to Earl Poilvet’s Raw Heavy Cream, in the raw cream category.

Cheeses
In all, 230 cheeses were awarded Gold and Silver medals, and trophies were given to the best amongst them. A special trophy was awarded to the best cheese from each country, and a trophy was also awarded to the best cheese from all countries represented.
The Charles Arnaud Comté from Fromageries Arnaud Frères was awarded this highest distinction in the Cows’ milk cheeses, Comté AOP, category.

Facts and figures
Under the honorary presidency of Didier Lassagne, MOF Cheesemaker 2007, a total of:
1053 samples were tasted: 757 cheeses, 296 dairy products (milks, butters, creams, yoghurts, milk-based desserts and ice creams) competed in 148 categories.
320 samples were awarded medals, including 146 Gold medals.
229 products came from other countries, primarily Spain and Italy.
11 countries were represented at the competition.
